Wedding Photographer Barcelona: Rural, Intimate Wedding
As a Wedding Photographer Barcelona, sometimes you just get lucky. That’s how I felt when Stacy contacted me about her original, authentic, intimate wedding in Spain. Stacy knew exactly what she wanted for her beautiful day: no fuss, no problems, just her best friends and her new husband enjoying the beautiful surroundings. I’m so in!
Stacy and Kevin’s wedding was a small gathering of only their best 14 friends. Everyone there travelled from around the world to spend one week relaxing, remembering fun moments, and of course, dancing. The group shared vegan meals, yoga practices, and flower picking excursions. All under the peaceful roof of Heretat de Guàrdia, a historic “Masia” or country home located on the foothills of the Pre-Pyrenees outside of Barcelona.
In events like this as a Wedding Photographer Barcelona, I try to spend the whole day just following the events unfold. I don’t like to rush or ask anyone to fake moments. I like to be there from the start of the action, to when the party is winding down. That’s how the best stories are told.
Stacy and Kevin’s story started on Saturday morning with a flower-hunt excursion with Stacy and her lifelong girlfriends. We were on the hunt for the most precious wild flowers to make original wedding bouquets. Luckily, the land surrounding the country house contained fields of wheat and poppies, succulents, and other color grasses. The girls found a variety of deep colors to fill the bouquets, and we all enjoyed the laughter and good vibes shared.
After the flower hunt, we began to prepare the day’s events: the girls and guys putting on their best looks for the days. As always happens, the girls spent a few hours and the guys spent a few minutes! Hahaha! 😀 After Stacy finished her beautiful natural look and elegant up-do, I went to await her at the ceremony grounds. The couple chose to marry in a grassy field below the house, surrounded by views of the crawling hills and olive trees.
The ceremony was emotional, intimate, and joyful. There were so many special memories shared and raw emotions displayed. I’m going to be honest: I cried my eyes out! I love seeing such love, respect, and honor between two genuine people. Luckily with many years of experience as a Wedding Photographer Barcelona, I’m able to use all the emotion I feel and channel it into my photos! 🙂
Even though the gathering was small, there an abundance of love and affection. You can tell that everyone who needed to be there was present, sending all of their love and well wishes to the couple.
Thank you so, so much Stacy and Kevin for having me as your Wedding Photographer Barcelona. It was truly my honor to capture your day 🙂 Please visit this page to see more weddings from this Barcelona Wedding Photographer.
